Last week a friend and I took a day trip to Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. It was just the kind of thing I had been itching to do. Exploring Baltimore has been fun, but I am hoping as spring makes its appearance I’ll be able to get out of the city more and check out the little towns and historic sites around the area. Harpers Ferry was my first chance to do just that. While it certainly still felt like winter with the light coating of snow I was happy to be out and about checking out this quaint place.

Friends since middle school, we continue to inspire each other to be creative in our big, adult lives. Each season we take on a new theme to guide our crafting, cooking, and creating. We're up for trying anything, and things are bound to get messy. But that's just the way we like it.

Sara! I forget that you lived in the D.C. area and know it well. I only know you from the blog when you have been in Ethiopia. It is fun to realize that you know the area that is new to me so well.
