I don’t think I mentioned this before, but I’m away in Canada this weekend!
The drive up was rather rainy, but the country welcomed us with a lovely rainbow:
I’ve been to Vancouver a couple of times before, but I’ve never noticed how many bald eagles are in the area. I think I saw about 10 between crossing the border and getting to the city. Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture any with my phone’s camera. However, I’ve learned that they are huge and like to hang out with other birds. They also make big, brambly nests.
Because my weekend has been so absorbed with the conference, I don’t have much else to report. However, I do have one very awesome thing to share: a video! It’s been making the rounds a lot lately. Even if you have seen it, it’s worth a second viewing. Also, it comes from Soul Pancake, which reminds me a lot Miranda July’s Learning To Love You More, which we both love. So here it is: A Pep Talk from Kid President to You.

Ahhh! I love Kid President! Can’t he just run our country?
And how stunning is that rainbow? Absolutely breathtaking. Add bald eagles into that mix and I’d say you have a road trip for the record books. Awesome.
